    3. Thank you. My Pitts families were not in Sullivan Co., IN nor Clark Co., IL. I have no record of Mason or Mayson Pitts. I was just double checking your places. Its possible they may connect in VA earlier on since Mason was only born in c 1785 in VA. I'm particularly interested in Essex Co. and King & Queen Co., VA right now. If you locate a county in Virginia that your Pitts' lived, please let me know. Thanks anyways. She is filing a DAR application under patriot Henry Pitts & wife, Hannah Collier. Only one other DAR application has ever been filed on this man, and that application was through Henry and Hannah's daughter, Jane Pitts Butler, instead of through their son, Mark. We would love to file a clean, complete application through Mark's line so that future applicants can refer to it. We have, however, some deficiencies that we must clear up before filing the application, and I was hoping you might be able to help with some of that. I descend from John Pitts, Sr., who arrived in Windham Co., CT, by 1711. He married Susannah Preston and lived in Ashford, Windham Co., CT. I descend from their son John Pitts, Jr., born 25 Aug 1733 in Ashford. On Jan 10, 1754, John Pitts, Jr., married Rachel Humphrey, daughter of John Humphrey and Hannah Russell. John and Rachel (Humphrey) Pitts lived in Ashford until c. 1799 when they moved to Monson, Hampshire Co., MA. I found them there on the 1800 census, but can't find them after that. Both would be about 67 years old in 1800. Does anyone have death dates and places for John Pitts, Jr., and his wife Rachel Humphrey Pitts? Did they die in Hampshire Co., MA, between 1800-1810? Or did they go to Rutland Co., VT, with their son Jeremiah Pitts (1810 Rutland Co., VT, census). Or did they go to Orange Co., VT, with their married daughter Silome Pitts Greenslit? Or did they move back to Windham Co., CT, to live with married children there? Helen Greenslit Graves Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
