It is truly wonderful that different branches of the Pitts family are coming back together after such a diaspora that took them from the lands in Laurens County, South Carolina, to Arkansas, briefly to Oklahoma, and back to South Carolina for some and Arkansas for others. I may have mistaken Donna's actual name, but her Ancestry.com id is donnaMpayne. Does that ring a bell for you? She spoke very highly of your genealogical skills and of your willingness to assist others (Please ...:-) As a matter of fact, she is a descendant - and I believe the contact person for the Calvin Conway Pitts brancho of the family. She is also a descendant of Berry and Laura Finley. She has been most helpful in my ventures in scaling the Pitts family tree. She is buried at "Waco Cemetery" in Haralson Co., GA according to her death certificate. H.H. Pitts was born in AL. They were married in Carroll Co. in 1863 and appear to be in the area that became Haralson. In the 1900 Census for Haralson they have one daughter at home, Mary A. Am looking for Mr. Pitts parents, siblings, addition children etc. I am willing to share Missouri Ann Shaw information. She was my great grandfather's sister.
