Jackie, thanks for the concern. I have just not had anything of interest the Pitts family at large. My family line is a little different from most so not even sure where the Bennetts fit in. I really appreciate the message board members efforts to follow this family and hope that someone will find a nugget for me. A lot of the Pitts' lived in Livingston County, Michigan. If you could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to share what I have as well. my grandfather Irving Harold Pitts (1926-2009) married to Ellen Mae North, Harold Austin Pitts (1902-1982) married to Francis Devine(1909-1964) , Ervin W. Pitts (1868-1908) married to Mary Ellen (Mattie) Radford and Austin Pitts (1834-1918) married to Phoebe J. VanBuren (1835-1900). I havent been able to find much information about Austin, but on his death certificate it says his father's name was Geo. Can't confirm that though. (eddie) as mary called him just left the family when charles was about 3 or a little past. from OK city to ?? all i have been able to find out his past is he was a very good mechanic and he had a brother named. Lee Pitts had a family at this time & his wife or his daughter was named joanne? Her maiden name was Katheryn Pitts and she lived in Wortham Missouri until her death in 1970. Her nickname was Dude and she was a shotgun toting grandma.
