Pike Cty, GA 1843, was a son of John Pitts and Hannah Belton, and that being on Ancestry. com may be a result of someone putting it on there from my notes. However, I now no longer believe that could be possible due to Martin's age and the ages of John and Hannah's children. Also the marriage year for Martin is 1812, not 1822 as is shown in one place on line. If you have data from wills,deeds,Bible records,etc that show Martin as being a son of John Pitts and Hannah Belton I would like to know about it. I believe I am correct in saying that there is a DNA match for descendents of John Pitts and descendents of Martin Pitts which would mean they were related but not necessarily father and son.
