Joe, I made a mistake. In my entry on the son of Ernest PIGGOTT, I wrote: "1. Ernest Keith PIGGOTT, b Stockbridge, Hampshire, 11 Apr 1904; Jockey & Trainer; won the Champion Hurdle, U.K. National Hunt, Cheltenham, 1939, on African Sister, trained by his brother Charles..." This should instead read "...trained by his uncle Charles..." And from a CANNON pedigree on Ancestry.com, the additional details: Ernest PIGGOTT was born 19 July 1878; & his marriage took place at Stockbridge, Hampshire, on 8 Jun 1903. Regards, Chris PIGOTT.
