Another Irish PIGOTT family, of Co Wexford: John PIGOTT; born around the 1650-60s; Grand Juror, Queen's Co, Aug 1700, when he signed a petition concerning wool exportation through the Port of Ross, Co Wexford [Ross Corporation Book], & from this connection, a poss relation to the Dysart PIGOTTs; perhaps instead related to John PIGOTT, Gent, whose son Felix was adm T.C.D., 1733, aged 19, & who therefore, by name association, was probably related to the PIGOTTs of Aston Rowant, Cambs (of the Heraldic "Three Pick-axe" PIGOTT branch); marr with issue: Harfinch PIGOTT, b Co Antrim, 1688-89; adm T.C.D., Apr 1706; B.A., 1709; Rector of Taghmon, Co Wexford; adm Freeman & Burgess, Ross Corporation, 6 Nov 1725; Prebend of Taghmon, 1742; acquired the lease of Slevoy, Co Wexford, from Charles TOTTENHAM, of Tottenham Green, Msx, 1733; died 1746; marr with issue: 1. William PIGOTT, 2nd son; adm Freeman & Burgess, Ross Corporation, 12 Aug 1741; purchased Slevoy from his elder brother, 1746; High Sheriff of Wexford, 1771; obtained renewal of lease of part of the Commons, Ross Corporation, in the place of Johanna PIGOTT, Oct 1781; died a few days before 27 Oct 1788 [Freeman's Journal], s.p.; will dated 25 Jul 1788, pr 10 Nov 1788; bequeatheed Slevoy to his grand-nephew William PEMBERTON; marr a few days before 18 Apr 1782 [Freeman's Journal], Hannah, daur of Joseph GOFF of Horestown, Co Wexford; she prob died 1789, s.p. 3. Hester PIGOTT; marr William SUTTON, of Horestown, Co Wexford (probably related to William SUTTON of Longgraige, Co Wexford, who marr Eleanor Mary COLCLOUGH, a daur of Caesar COLCLOUGH of Rosgarland by Mary IVORY, & who was named in a deed of Harfinch PIGOTT dated 25 Mar 1744, duly witnessed by William SUTTON of Horestown, the son-in-law); by him Hester had issue a daughter - Jane SUTTON, who marr at Mt Levy, Co Wexford, a few days before 28 Jan 1772 [Freeman's Journal], Handy or Hardy PEMBERTON, & had issue including a son William PEMBERTON, as follows: William PEMBERTON, b Dublin, 3 Jan 1773; adm T.C.D., Mar 1790; Lt-Col, Wexford/Waterford Militia; Sheriff of Wexford, 1794; adm Freeman & Burgess of Ross Corporation, Jun 1818; assumed additional surname of PIGOT when he inherited Slevoy from his great-uncle William PIGOTT, 1788; died 10 Nov 1854; marr 19 Dec 1794, Ellinor HOUGHTON, daur of Thomas HOUGHTON of Kilmannock, Co Wexford (one of the trustees to the marr setts was Rev William SUTTON of Longgraige); she died at Slevoy, 1862; issue: 1.
