I was wondering why don't people's email addresses appear in the header for their messages like it does on other sites? Also, Linda thanks so much for the Information on Henry Piggot and Mary Edith Howe!
Hi Deb, At 08:18 AM 11/20/2006, you wrote: >I was wondering why don't people's email addresses appear in the >header for their messages like it does on other sites? I'm not exactly sure what you mean here. Here is the header from the message that I just received from you, and it has your e-mail address: Date: Mon, 20 Nov 2006 06:18:42 -0800 (PST) From: Deb Wetlaufer <debi@wetlaufer.com> To: piggott@rootsweb.com MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Spam-Score: 1.362 (*) BAYES_00,HTML_10_20,HTML_MESSAGE X-Scanned-By: MIMEDefang 2.57 on 192.168.65.34 X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.7 Subject: [PIGGOTT] Admin Question, Piggot X-BeenThere: piggott@rootsweb.com X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.7 Precedence: list Reply-To: debi@wetlaufer.com, piggott@rootsweb.com List-Id: <piggott.rootsweb.com> X-Loop: PIGGOTT@rootsweb.com List-Unsubscribe: <http://lists2.rootsweb.com/mailman/listinfo/piggott>, <mailto:piggott-request@rootsweb.com?subject=unsubscribe> List-Archive: <http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index?list=piggott> List-Post: <mailto:piggott@rootsweb.com> List-Help: <mailto:piggott-request@rootsweb.com?subject=help> List-Subscribe: <http://lists2.rootsweb.com/mailman/listinfo/piggott>, <mailto:piggott-request@rootsweb.com?subject=subscribe> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: piggott-bounces@rootsweb.com If you mean some of the information that I send out that I extract from other lists, that is a different story. If I do not know the sender, and do not know if they would mind having their e-mail address sent to another group of people, I info them in the Bcc: (Blind Carbon Copy) line. That way they know what I have done with their information, and they have the ability to e-mail me at their discretion. I hope this clears things up. :-) Joe Joe Bissett, PIGGOTT/CUMMISKEY List Administrator/Rootsweb I use America's Book CDs in my genealogical research to access otherwise unavailable primary source material. http://www.abcd-usa.com/ I support the Godfrey Memorial Library. http://www.godfrey.org/ Proud to be a member of LostCousins! http://www/LostCousins.com
