I found the following information regarding custody of his young son: LNAME[ PIGGOTT FNAME[ MARSHALL HAMILTON RESID[ MALAHIDE DATE[ NOV 17, 1884 FILE[ 1220 MFNO[ 1385 NOTES[ - no will - described as a farmer and a widower - petitioners: Lavina Piggott; Frederick William Piggott; John Colborne Piggott - mother was Lavina Piggott of North Dorchester Township, Middlesex County, widow - son was Frank Piggott, 18 months old, who was with his maternal grandparents in Malahide BROTHERS AND SISTERS: - John Colborne Piggott, West Bay City, Michigan; - William Frederick Piggott, Nilestown, Middlesex County; - Charles Piggott, Portland, Oregon; - Edwin Piggott, East Saginaw, Michigan; - Minnie Carr, wife of William, Chicago, Illinois; - Ida Piggott, 17 years old; - Bertha Piggott, 13 years old FILE[ 1221 NOTES[ - described as a farmer - this was a petition for guardianship filed April 25, 1885 - petitioner was paternal grandmother, Lavina Piggott, North Dorchester Township,Middlesex County, widow - child was Marshall Piggott's son, Francis, who was 18 months old - maternal grandparents were William and Martha Beauchamp of Malahide His brother, Charles H.
