Regards, Joe Extracted from: Daily Universal Register (London, Middlesex, England), June 16, 1786 Parliamentary Intelligence HOUSE OF COMMONS Thursday, June 15 EUSTATIA BILL the order of the day being read to go into the Committee on the Eustatia Bill, The Counsel were ordered to be called in that were attending for the agents, and captors, and the claimants of the prize money, due from the taking the Island of St. Eustatia. The Counsel for he Agents were, Mr. R. Burke and Mr. Pigott. For the Claimants, Mr. Erskine and Mr. Dallas. Mr. Pigott opened the business in favour of the Agents, and in a variety of arguments endeavoured to show the impropriety and inexpediency of vesting the property in persons nominated by Parliament. Here some witnesses were called and examined.
