John PYKOT of Abington bt Bassingbourne, Co Cantebrigg, mad a will dated 2 Jul 1433, bequeathing his "goods & chattels, moveable & immoveable, his property, merchandise & wares present & future on either side of the sea" to nine people, including Laurence PYKOT & several Citizens of London; quite possibly a form of "Guild" will, prob made by a Trader/Merchant. In May 1434, the Calendar of Patent Rolls records a Commission to receive the oaths of divers, including John PYKOT of Abyton. In Jan 1436, the Calendar of Fine Rolls named Laurence PYGOT of Dunstable, Beds, to a Commission to raise extra taxes for the defence of the realm. John PIGOTT "...the venerable man" presented John COOPER, M.A., to the Rectory at Abington-juxta-Shingay, Cambs, 8 Apr 1440.
