Eliza's daughter Mabel Chaney was born in N. Baltimore, Wood Co.,Ohio. They may have lived in Holgate, Henry Co.,Ohio also. Mabel Chaney Elliott's first daughter was named Louisa Eliza Elliott, "Eliza" obviously for her grandmother Eliza Thackery. The first names of Louisa, Eliza and Mary seem to show up a lot in the Piggot genealogies I've seen and I wonder if Mary Piggott Thackery had a relative named Louisa. We have no other family from which the name could have come. I have a photo of my 1st generation Piggott, but we don't know his first name. There's no photographer's identification, so we don't know where it was taken. I can e-mail it to anyone who is interested. Our Chaney relatives were always told they were of Irish descent, but we don't know if this referred to the Chaney or the Thackery side. Can anyone give me any further info? Thank you very much.
