Hello, This is my first post on here. I am researching this family, particularly George William born c.1867 in Chiswick (my Great Grandfather) whom very little is known about. So far, I have been unable to trace a record of his birth, for example. He married Emily Eliza Sophia Church on May 23rd 1896 in Chiswick; they had four daughters, Emily, Ivy, Violet and Rose (my Grandmother). On their marriage certificate, George William's occupation is given as "checker" though census returns also show he worked as a dock labourer. George William and Emily divorced in the 1920's and I have been unable to find any trace of him after this time. George William's ancestors are as follows:- Parents George William (born c1847 Chiswick, died 1896 Rotherhithe) and Rosa Sedgwick (born c1849 Isleworth) Occupation: Thames Lighterman Grandparents George William (born c1818 Chiswick, died 1879 Brentford) and Harriet Taylor (born c1826, Chiswick) Married January 8th 1843, Parish Church, Twickenham Occupation: Waterman Great Grandparents David Piggott and ?
