Lancelot SANDES, of Kilcavan, Queen's Co, died Easter 1728. He is named in the 1708 will of Capt John PIGOTT (ca 1768-1710) of Kilcromin, same Co, & of New North Sound, St John's Division, Antigua. Lancelot's 1st wife was Elizabeth PIGOTT, daur of Thomas PIGOTT (ca 1640-1702) of Dysart, same Co, & sister of Captain John of Antigua. Their two sons, Pigott SANDES & his brother Capt Richard, were executors of the 1728 will of their uncle, Robert PIGOTT (ca 1664-1730) of Dysart, Queen's Co. I do not have all the references in my head. I do recall that some personal notes on the SANDES connection were contained in Pole COSBY's "Autobiography," published in the Journal of the Archeological Society of Kildare, & the PIGOTT will details can be found in Vere Langdon OLIVER's 1895 publication, "The History of Antigua." I also have transcriptions of a number of SANDES & associated deeds from the Dublin Deeds Registry. I will look up the fine point details, & post them to you, with some additional information, off-list to your personal e-mail address. I have a vague recollection that the name ROTHERAM appears somewhere in my SANDES notes at home. Regards, Chris PIGOTT, Potts Point, N.S.W.
