Hi Chris, At 12:37 AM 04/07/2007, you wrote: >John Drew PIGGOTT; Absolutely! John Drew PIGGOTT is my maternal GGF, and his son Frederick Edward is my maternal GF. Have you seen my small memorial to Frederick on the Find A Grave web site? http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=piggott&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GScntry=51&GSob=n&GRid=12154520& Sadly, Frederick was mortally wounded on the first day of the Gallipoli invasion, April 25, 1915 and died the next morning aboard a hospital ship. He is memorialized at Lone Pine on the Gallipoli Peninsula. There is also a memorial at the Broadstairs St. Peters Cemetery where John Drew and other family members are buried. My cousin Gillian PIGGOTT still returns to England annually and has visited Broadstairs and the memorial with her sister who lives in Folkestone. Thanks for "keeping me honest" :-) :-) :-) By the way, a friendly researcher corrected me on the name of the Training ship, which is "Cornwall".
