Hi List, In the past I have championed posting one's information on the Lost Cousins web site, and have explained why I believe that Lost Cousins has a unique methodology, virtually assuring that any contact will be a true cousin. I have also told you that I have posted 267 entries, and have so far been in touch with 6 cousins. In many instances I have also sent you a referral link to make it easy on list members to access the site and sign on. I note that very few of our list members have actually posted their information to Lost Cousins, and that really puzzles me. My goal in administering this list is to further our hobby by freely sharing information and making research far easier for newcomers than it was for me when I began my ancestor quest. Finding living relatives, no matter how far removed from our direct lines, presents unique opportunities to really learn about our ancestors. I share my time and information from my paid subscriptions freely with our members, so it should be obvious that I have no commercial interest in promoting a particular genealogy site. I would truly appreciate a PRIVATE, OFF LIST reply from members who are willing to share with me why you have decided not to post to Lost Cousins. I promise that I will not share your specific information or e-mail address with Lost Cousins. However, if I can ascertain any information which might help them improve the attractiveness of their site to others, I will summarize that information and present it to them. Therefore, if you choose to respond to this request, please be completely candid, in order that I may develop a meaningful understanding of the situation. Hi Joe, I haven't forgotten Lost Cousins, but I have so much information at the moment, which I am in the process of sorting through. I plan to put all of my relatives on Lost Cousins once I've got myself sorted out! Regards, Jen
