I found in the IGI records a marriage for Mary BARRY to Michael PIGOTT for 13-Jul-1856 in Boston, Suffolk, MA, Michael PIGOTT's father is listed as Thomas; Mary BARRY's father listed as Richard. I also found a death for a Mary (BARRY) PIGOTT at the MA VItal Records site as having died in year 1877 (Volume 294, page 203). I am hoping to find more information about this couple in the hopes of confirming that this Mary and Michael PIGOTT are the same ones that I found in the 1870 Census: 1870 Census for MA/Boston/Ward 8/Suffolk County Roll M593-645/pg 88 lists the following: Pigott, Michael (age 42) Male, White, Porter in STore, Place of Birth Ireland. Pigott, Mary age 42 Female, White, Keeping House place of birth Ireland Pigott, Thomas E. age 12, Male, White, School, Place of Birth MA Pigott, Richard 11 Male, White, School, Place of Birth MA Pigott, Maurice 10 Male, White, School, Place of Birth MA Pigott, Michael, 4 Male, White, At home, Place of Birth, MA. In this same family for the 1880 Census, Mary is not listed which helps support that the death record for her is correct. Her childrens' ages help support the marriage record listed above. Any additional information to help me confirm that Mary (Barry) Pigott is the mother to Thomas, Richard, Maurice and Michael as well as any additional information on their parents, Thomas PIGOTT or Richard BARRY, would be greatly appreciated.
