Just a note on the success of my post, just two days ago. I was found by John Pierce (http://www.zianet.com/jpierce) as having some pieces for his terrific Pierce website. If there are others who are part of this family and are interested in my little piece of the family tree, please drop me an email. Although there are not links with the Shanghai Pierce clan that I am aware of...this seems to be just as wild of a bunch. In a nutshell, my George W. Pierce, father of Sarah Allie Pierce, was the son of David Pierce b abt 1802, Georgia. Sarah married George Washington Rhoades, they had a son Thomas Jefferson Rhoades. Thomas Jefferson Rhoades married Evelyn May Jones, they had a daughter Lois Marjory Rhoades. She was my grandmother. Teri
