Looks like I goofed! Little Compton is in the east part of Rhode Island, on the east side of the Sakonnet River, and east of Newport and Portsmouth. While it is not shown on a 1639 - 1659 Rhode Island map, it does show up in the 1659 - 1703 version. The 1703 - 1750 map includes Tiverton as the north half of what was the overall Little Compton area. Sorry for the goof. WWP Linda & Warren Pearce Colorado Springs CO 80919-4821
