Some time ago, I bought a collection of old "Genealogy Helpers" magazine, from a lady who was "closing out" a bookstore. It's about a 20 year supply, from 1970 thru sometime in the 1990s. I rarely have time to do much research, so I'm just now getting around to them. AND, I must say, I think the magazine title may have been a "misnomer" for those early issues, anyway. They've been mainly useless. ;-) Most of them have nothing but queries and NO INDEX! Gasp!! ;-) However, here's a VERY LONG shot, if anyone wants to take it. One of the 1970 issues has an index of people doing genealogy research and the names they are researching. Keep in mind, this magazine is 30 YEARS OLD and chances are, these researchers are dead or have moved. However, in the event anyone wants to try to contact them, I'd be willing to look up the names you're searching and send you back the addresses of related researchers. Some of the entries have specific names, w/ birth/death data. Some have only a surname. So, send the name/surname you feel will be the most effective. If you're interested, please send me private email, rather than cluttering up the list. Please send no more than 2 names in your email and mention which list you're from.
