Vol. 12 pg. 178 At a court held on 9 December last judgement by nihil dicit was granted Mr. Andrew Woodley agst. Tho: Pearce for 520 lbs of tobacco & said Pearce failing also to appear at this court and Woodley having proved by oath of John Ingram that Pearce did assume & promise to pay this sum which appears to be due by two bills, one passed by Katharine Evans (now wife of said Pearce) to said Woodley for 112 lbs. of tobacco & the other assigned by said Katharine to said Woodley, being a bill passed by Wm. Barrfeild to said to 408 lbs. of which bills Woodley makes oath he has received no satisfaction. Judgement is granded Woodley agst. Tho: Pearce for 520 lbs of tobacco. Nita Pearce Nita Pearce =20
