Hi! My name is Mike Stone, and I'm researching my Pierce/Pearce ancestors in Mo. and Tx. My GGGrd fa. was John Pierce of Cooke Co, TX. He had a brother named Wesley, same co. They lived in TX. 1860 to 1890. They are both presumably buried there. Both had large families. I know that there were other Pierce's, possibly brothers, next door in Grayson Co. TX. about the same time. I am sure their entire family was in Jefferson County, MO. about 1835-1855. Before that, census notes in later census records indicate that they were in KY. and TN. I'm sure both John and Wesley Pierce were married in MO.- Franklin and Jeff. counties,resp. Does any of this info. sound familiar to anyone? I could provide much more detail if your group seems to fit. Right now, I'm investigating the possible parents of John Pierce. A likely father was Washigton Pierce of all the same locations/times listed above. Does this seem to fit anyone's tree? Thanks for your help.
