C.A4 White, born 1871. Notes for C.A White: Although a natural illegitimate child by Clem Pierce and Mrs. Atha White, Clem Pierce did fully adopt CA White on June 28, 1878. Altha White Consented to Adoption- Recorded Johnson County Adoptions Book R page 176 Children of Clemeth Pierce and Mollie L. Gordon are: > i. Jessie4 Pierce, born November 05, 1882; died Feb 10, 1884. Buried in Pierce Cemetery GoatNeck Johnson County Tx. 4 ii. Fannie Pierce, born 1880. 5 iii. Willie Pierce, born November 1884. 6 IV. Mossie Pierce, born November 1886. I had a letter from WE "Jack" Carlton, (the guy that gave me the lead on the Joel J Pierce mystery) a couple of months ago ---that I had not studied thoroughly. Sure enough he sent me some photo copies of the civl war assoc in cleburne and they had his burial listed at Cleburne Cemetery Block 28, Lot 20. The johnson county genweb pages has a photo of the Civil War Guys Reunion 1900 I think Probably Clem is in it. I am going soon to take photographs and see about getting a civil war marker on his gravesite. Maybe his wife is buried there and I can finally trace this family. I know some land the family still owns is coming up for lease renewal in 2000. Clem Abercrombie Pierce raised Olla Dell, George Washington Pierces oldest daughter, and my great great grandfather LD Pierce Sr. raised Bertha Pierce Force. Lester Jones still living is the 2nd oldest living pierce in our family He is desceneded from Olla Dell. The oldest is Valney "Chunk" Fisher oldest son of my grandfathers sister Salley Pierce Clark.
