Hi again everybody, I wasn't trying to upset anyone by posting a message of thanks without followup information, in fact quite the opposite. I was genuinely tickled by the number of responses that I received and hope to still gain help when needed. Incedentally, the "she" that refers to myself is actually very much a "he". The last time I checked anyway. 8^) So, anyway, I guess that I'd better offer up some of what was given to me. Thanks to the responses that were sent, I found three different variations of the Pierce family crest. Credit goes to Tom Pierce for informing me that the crest that belongs to your name matters whether your of English or Irish descent. The first one was sent to me as an e-mail attachment from a gentleman named John Windsor, a subscriber to this list (Thanks again John). This one was a substantial image. It printed nicely on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. There were 2 others that were different. They were located on a couple of different web sites along with a smaller version of the one that John Windsor sent me. Here are the url's: http://www.gtii.com/mpi/famhist.htm http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~pierces/ There were a number of different url's that were forwarded to me, but pretty much had all of the same crests that I found in the two sites above. I hope that I could help Thanks again for everyone who responded. Your help IS greatly appreciated. Dale BTW, I don't think that the responses were intentionally sent to me only and not the list. When I responded to this message, I noticed that the ONLY address listed was the person who authored the message. =================================== Dale Arnold [email protected] -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Sunday, December 05, 1999 12:54 AM Subject: [PIERCE-L] Sharing info >The following message was posted to the Digest.
