    3. Do you have Elias Hampton Pierce b 1855 in MS in your "inventory". He married Elisabeth "Bettie" McCanlies in Navarro Co. TX in 1875. They lived in Eastland Co. and Mitchell Co. TX for many years. I have been unable to connect him to other TX Pierces, and would love to have some information on your Pierces. Elias had a brother named Joe, we believe. I also have Sarah Pierce b 1817 VA who married A.G. Campbell in Nashville, Davidson Co., TN and came to TX (1st to San Augustine Co. 1838, then Nacogdoches Co. til 1850 and finally Anderson Co. where she lived 1860 til after 1890. And John Aaron Pierce (b abt 1818 NC/VA) lived in Henderson Co. until he died in Aug 1859. John A Pierce 'in his lifetime' deeded 10 acres out of a parcel of land (1/4 of a league--276 acres in the Alfred B Davis survey) to A.G. Campbell. This 10 acres was exempt when the rest of the land (266 a.) was sold 25 March 1862 to Ira Pruitt after John A Pierces's death in 1859. Benjamin Parker was administrator of the estate. > I surely would appreciate your checking your files for these names. These TX Pierces have been very elusive and I have almost despaired of ever finding anything about them. Linda M. Sykes
