We had this discussion many moons ago b4 we took over the mailing list, and the settings were changed to what are currently set. The difference here is that if you hit "Reply to Sender" it responds directly to that person! If you hit "Reply to All" it will respond to the sender and to Pierce-L - This worked well for the people on the digest because they do not get the messages as quickly as do those posted to Pierce-L, the digest gets sent out on a timed basis. Also, if you look at the taglines on the bottom on the Digests and Lists you will see helpful messages from your list coordinators.
