Daniel Pearce, Sr., b. ca1746 poss. VA. Purchased land in Greene Co., TN in 1794 and is found in tax records up to 1815 or so. Moved to McMinn Co., TN ca1822, along w/ sons: David, Lewis, Daniel (and poss. sons or nephews - John, Thomas and James). Daniel died between 1830 - 1840 in McMinn County. I believe that my Daniel is connected to the VA Pierce/Pearces that are found in early Frederick County > Montgomery > Botetourt > Wythe. The name Daniel can be found in the NY line of Pearces and the MD line. Does anyone know about the lines that are found in the early settlement of VA and if any of the known ones migrated down into TN (Washington/Greene/Jefferson/Knox/Blount Counties). Some of these also migrated to the Nashville area and into Kentucky. I think that they are mostly all related. Willing to work with others researching this line. Angela Pierce Groenhout
