Hi: I am looking for the parents and ancestry of Colonel William Pierce. The information I have is that he was born July 23, 1785. According to a document written by my grandfather, he was born in Burlington Vermont. The LDS familysearch site has him born either in Truxton, New York, or in Rome, New York. Colonel Pierce was married to Olive Bernice Shedd, of Rome New York. They lived in Truxton New York, where their children, Chandler, William, Betsey, Ezekial, Elizabeth, Olive and Mary were born. The LDS William Pierce that listed any children was the one born in Rome New York. Both were listed as married to Olive Shedd. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Dana Kerr
