Dear Carlyine Gibson Pierce, In the 1850 census it list your individual as Burrill Pearce, age 21, M , farmer born in Miss. wife Jane, age 20, F, Ga. If you follow the census back into the 1840, I would think the father would be William Pierce in 1840 and William Pearce in the 1850. Different census takers spelled names different. Burrill is found in Mississippi, Itawamba co. 7th district, Roll M432-373, Page 386. I hope this helps, Happy Hunting Tommy H Moss
