Listers: I am trying to get information on my Gr Gr Gr Grandparents family roots. Gr GR Gr Grandfather Thomas Pierce married Almy Chase at the Trinity Church in Newport, Rhode Island on November 3, 1748. In contacting the church, they have verified that this couple was married there on this date. They were not able to supply the names of the parents to me for either grandfather nor grandmother. They did however, offer the information that since they were married in that church that he was likely of the Anglican faith. If anyone on this lists has any information available on my grandparents will you please kindly send it to me. Anything earlier than 1748 will be deeply appreciated. Thomas Pierce would have had to come from England or possibly Ireland. Almy Chase's parents may have come from England in the 1600 era. Thank you one and all.
