Delilah was born in Pocahontas County, West Virginia Approx. 1835. Delilah was the daughter of Adam Miller and Barbary Miller. They were married in Thorny Creek, Pocahontas, West Virginia. John Pierce and Delilah S. Miller had the following child: + 3 i. George Adam3 Pierce was born June 1858. Third Generation 3. George Adam3 Pierce (John2, Thomas1) was born in West Virginia June 1858. He married Clara Alice Woods in Bath, Virginia, September 02, 1878. Clara was born in Bath, Virginia June 30, 1858. Clara was the daughter of Parmenus A. Woods and Susan R. Kerr. According to the 1880 Census, George A. along with wife Clara A., along with children Minnie S and Clara's sister Sallie E. Woods lived in Huntersville, Pocahontas County, West Virginia. In the 1900 Census, George A, wife Clara, and children George A., Thelma L, and Roy A. lived in Clifton District, Alleghany County, Va. In the 1910 Census, George A and wife Clara lived in Clifton Forge, Va. George Adam Pierce and Clara Alice Woods had the following children: 4 i. Minnie L.4 Pierce was born in Bath, Virginia August 1879. She married Richard E. George in Mr. Grove, Bath County, Virginia, July 16, 1895. Richard was born in Monmouth, Wales Approx 1871. Richard was the son of William George and Bessie George. + 5 ii. Wilbur Edward Pierce was born July 03, 1881. 6 iii. George A. Pierce was born in Bath, Virginia March 1884. 7 iv. Filmore Pierce was born in Douthards Creek, West Virginia May 20, 1887. 8 v. Roy (Roger) Pierce was born in Bath, Virginia August 17, 1889. Fourth Generation 5. Wilbur Edward4 Pierce (George Adam3, John2, Thomas1) was born in Huntersville, West Virginia July 03, 1881. Wilbur died August 24, 1962 in Fort Meyers, Florida, at 81 years of age. He married Rosa Alice Thomas in Lynchburg, Virginia, October 03, 1903. Rosa was born in Virginia December 25, 1883. Rosa was the daughter of Lewis E Thomas and Elizabeth B. Rosa died December 18, 1963 in Fort Meyers, Florida, at 79 years of age. Wilbur and Rosa at the time of their wedding were living in Charlotte County, Va. According to the 1910 Virginia Census, Wilbur, Rosa, Frank, Aubry and Ruth lived in Charlottesville City, Albermarle County. In the 1920 census, Wilbur and Rosa lived at 330 Oak Hill Ave., Union Town, Broome County, NY. Wilbur and Rosa lived in Newark, NY from 1932 to 1954. According to Wilbur's application for a social security number, in 1936 they lived at 213 West Miller St., Newark, NY. Wilbur had been employed by the American Telephone and Telegraph Co. for 43 years until he retirement in 1947. He was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Masonic Lodge. Wilbur, Rosa and Aubrey were all buried in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fort Myers Florida. All 3 lived at 3111 Cleveland Ave. in Fort Meyers in the early 1960s.
