Hi My earliest Pierce family stems from Portsmouth/Newport, Rhode Island Area but must have migrated there from Massachusetts or England. Some of the old Pierce/Pearce or variant family records should be available in that area and I would appreciate any and all suggestions as to where I should look to find them as I am away from New England area now.
