My oldest Pierce is my GGrandfather Benjamin R. Pierce who according to his Civil War records was born in Clinton County, NY in 1811. His parents and/or siblings are unknown. He married Lydia Sager in Ononandaga County, NY in 1829 and moved shorly thereafter to OH, possibly the central part of the state. His father-in-law Rulef Sager is buried at Mt. Gilead, OH. He moved to Elkhart, IN about 1845 and then on to IA around 1850 where he died in 1876 and is buried in Pierce Cemetery outside of Floris in Davis County. MY Grandfather, Benjamin R. Pierce was born in Elkhart, IN in 1847 and married Ellen Hill in Davis County, IA in 1868. They subsequently moved to NE where my father Benjamin R. Pierce was born in 1893. My grandfather and his brother Frank and their families eventually moved to Springdale, AR in the early 1890's along with my GGrandmother who died there in 1892. My father met Kitty C. Brady in Springdale and they married in 1917 moved to Kansas and then on! to Colorado in about 1920. My Brickwall is the family of my GGrandfather. His children are: Charles C. b 1831 OH; Mary E. b 1833 OH; Ralph b 1836 OH; Camelia D. b 1842 OH; Sarah A b 1844; Benjamin R. b 1847 IN; Frank E. b 1852 IN.
