I am sorry to say I am not researching your line of Pierces. I have been researching my wife's Pierce family for the last number of years. We have learned that Bonnie's ancestor, Harrison Pierce, was born in Maine and came as a young child to New Brunswick in 1818 with his bothers, Lorenzo Dow and Gilman and his sister, Ann. His other brother, Turner, and maybe other siblings stayed in Maine. We have no idea who their mother and father were. Also, we have no idea why some brothers and sisters came to Canada and others didn't. We are however trying to obtain enough information to give us a detailed history of the Pierce family starting with the first ancestor to come to North America. Bonnie's Pierce line is as follows: Harrison Pierce married Elizabeth Dickson James Turner Pierce married Alice Maud Marley James Harrison Pierce married Grace Evelyn Sayre Ernest Douglas Pierce married Frances Jean Parker Bonita Jean Pierce married Robert James Purdy Do you have any information about our ancestry that you would be willing to share? We would be most happy to share any of our information. If I come across information on your line I will send it to you. Best regards, Bob -----Original Message----- From: Brent Underhill [mailto:bpunder@nbnet.nb.ca] Sent: March 11, 2002 9:26 PM To: bpurdy@nbnet.nb.ca Subject: PIERCE Hello Robert, I see you are also researching the surname of Pierce. Could you tell me what line? My line originated in Ireland with George & Mary Pierce and they and their nine children (Henry, Alexander, Hugh, George, Catherine, Mary Elizabeth, Robert, Margaret and John) all emigrated to Saint John, NB. Thank you. Sincerely, Patricia Pierce Underhill --------------ADD9AA20AEDE1BD3373BA130--
