    1. [PIERCE-L] Benjamin R. Pierce
    2. Larry Pierce
    3. This is a re-post of about a year ago. The name Pierce could be any derivation of that name. Benjamin R. Pierce (my ggrandfather) was born in 1811 in Clinton county, NY according to his Civil War records. He married Lydia Sager in Onondaga county, NY in 1829 and moved to somewhere in OH soon after. Their children were: Charles C, 1831,OH; Mary E, 1833,OH; Ralph, 1836, OH; Camelea D, 1842, OH; Sarah A, 1844, OH; Benjamin R, 1847, IN; & Frank E, 1852, IN. They moved to Davis county,IA in the late 1850's where he died in 1876 & was buried in Pierce Cemetery in Floris in Salt Creek Township as was his daughter Sarah. His son Benjamin R. (mygrandfather) also served in the Civil War. Both served in IA regiments. He married Ellen Hill of Athens county, OH and they were married in Davis county, IA in 1868. Their children were: Cora, 1870, IA; Lillian E, 1873, IA; William, 1875, IA; Maude, 1878, NE; Charles E, 1881, NE; Ezra Lucius, 1886, NE; & Benjamin Rollo, 1893, NE. They moved to Springdale, AR shortly after Benjamin's birth. His son Benjamin Rollo (my father) served in the US Navy from 1911-1915. He returned to Springdale and married my mother Kitty C. Brady in 1917 and they soon moved to Larned , KS. Their children were: Virginia L, 1918, KS; Betty Jo, 1923,CO; James B, 1925,CO, Jean & Larry, 1935, CO. I am primarily looking for my ggrandfather's family and do not know anything of his parents or siblings. I am also looking for my mother's family Thomas Washington Brady and Laura Nancy Wesson both born in 1865-1866 either in Kentucky or Tennessee. If anyone has any information or possible connection please e-mail me direct to skyraider@dmea.net. Larry D.Pierce, Colorado
