If you followed the narrative, you can clearly see that George Cox was the son of Nancy Ann Pierce, not the grandson. If we want to speak of grandsons, we have to say that George Cox was the grandson of James E. Pierce. Also, it wasn't really an error, but I neglected to say that my James Pierce's middle initial was "E". So in this note, I (correctly) refer to him as James E. Pierce.
