Hi All, I'm Karen. I am just starting a family genealogy project. I inherited some good information on many of my family, but am interested in the Pierce line. My G-grandpa was Frank Anderson Pierce. He Married a Eugenia Laura Sherman. I have no dates until they had a daughter Myra Belva Pierce On Dec. 24, 1892 in Ventura, Iowa in one account or Clear Lake, Cerro Gordo, Iowa in another account. Any help whatsoever will be appreciated! Frank Anderson Pierce m. Eugenia Laura Sherman daughter. Myra Belva Pierce 12-24-1892 Ventura, Iowa or Cerro Gordo, Iowa
Karen I think this might help to find something on your Cerro Gordo people. You can order the microfilm titled: Census of the Town of Tama, Iowa, 1892, film #1022209 from a FHC. Tama is the only city listed on the title, but the film holds the city censuses for several other small towns in that area and Cerro Gordo was one of them. The year may not be 1892, some of the towns were from a few years plus or minus that, but it sounds like it would be worth a try to order them and see what shows up!
