I am new to at least responding to this list. If anyone out there has a possible connection to one of these names, I would like to know what you have on them. Edward, Peter or Joseph Pierce who were living in the Armstrong, Red Bank area of Pennsylvania in the 1820's. Who I am looking for is the parents of James Pierce, b. 1821 who married a Mary J. McNaughton, b. 22 Jun 1821, Clarion Co. PA. I have quite a bit on the McNaughton family, but not much on his. There may have been a John Pierce living in the area about the same time. You can order the microfilm titled: Census of the Town of Tama, Iowa, 1892, film #1022209 from a FHC. Tama is the only city listed on the title, but the film holds the city censuses for several other small towns in that area and Cerro Gordo was one of them. The year may not be 1892, some of the towns were from a few years plus or minus that, but it sounds like it would be worth a try to order them and see what shows up!
