    3. Hi all! Still looking for information on my Great Great Grandpa Morgan Pierce b. 1823 MO d. March 13, 1885 Lincoln Co.,MO. He married Martha Jane Hines on Nov. 1, 1846 in Lincoln Co.,MO. Morgan and Martha's children were: 1.) Matilda b. 1849 MO m. ? (maybe in Arkansas) 2.) John Robert b. 1855 MO m. Chassidy Funk? (a relative says she was told that they resided in St. Charles Co., MO?) 3.) Flora Ann b. 1858 MO d. 1921 MO m. Willis Franklin "Dock" Jamerson Feb. 11,1875 Lincoln County, MO. Ch: Green Montgomery, Lula Jane, John Morgan, Ira Russell (my grandpa), Lenora "Nora" Maybell, James Presley (died 1 yr. old). [Flora & Willis are my Great Grandparents] 4.) M.T. "Bud" b. Apr. 1860 Scott Co.,Ark. m.? d.? 5.) Mary b. c. 1862 m. ________ Smith ? (maybe stayed in Arkansas)d.? 6.) Lydia Francis b. 1867 Scott Co.,Ark. d. 1917 OK m. 1. Bernard Patrick Flanagan Jan. 10,1884 Lincoln Co.,MO 2. Jesse Hamilton (in Ark. or OK) ch.: David Lincoln Hamilton 7. Salvader Theodore "Vade" b. July 24,1871 MO d. May 23,1947 MO m. Rilla Jane Powelson Jeffries ch: Paul Jeffries (step-son), Hattie Leo Florence. 8.) According to my Grandma there was also a daughter named Martha, I would assume she was born between Mary and Lydia if she was at all. But, my grandma didn't mention a Matilda, so this may be the one she called Martha. A distant cousin said that Mary married a Smith, John married a Chassidy Funk, although I've never been able to find them anywhere. I have no idea who Matilda married. I know that Matilda, Mary, and if there was a Martha never married in Lincoln County, MO. Morgan moved his family from Lincoln Co.,MO to Scott Co.,Ark. by 1860, about 1859. He appears on the 1860 census in Scott County, Ark. as follows: (Morgan's name is spelled wrong on this census, it should read Pierce, but the censustaker wrote it as Price) 1860 Scott Co.,Ark. Census page 823 891/886 Price, Morgan 38 M Farmer /$150 MO Price, M.J. 27 F MO (This is Martha Jane, and should be 32 yrs. old) Price, Matilda 10 F MO Price, John 5 M MO Price, F.A. 2 F MO (This is my Great Grandma, Flora Ann, b. 1858 MO) Price, M.T. 6/12 M MO (Born in March, 1860. I believe that this is probably Bud that my Grandma told me of, probably Morgan, Jr. since they called him Bud) (Mary, Lydia, and Vade were not born yet) I have not been able to find Morgan on an 1870 census, but he is in the Lincoln County, MO Tax book for 1870, so maybe showed up after the census was taken there and was missed. Vade was born in Lincoln Co. in July 1871, so I know they were back there by then.) Any help in locating information on the children Matilda, John, "Bud" (I'm assuming his real name was Morgan), Mary, or Martha would be appreciated. I do know that some of the children of these were living in Arkansas as I have three photos of two nieces of my G Grandma Flora's with their husbands and children. The pictures only say nieces of Grandma Jamerson in Arkansas. These can be viewed on the Scott County, Arkansas website at http://www.rootsweb.com/~arscott/scott.htm and scroll down to Unidentified Photos and check them out. There are 4 photos to look at 3 of Grandma Jamerson's nieces and one of baby Troy. Please let me know if you recognize any of them. Morgan had moved his family to Arkansas about 1858. He served in the confederate army in Dawson's 19th out of Scott County, Arkansas 1862. He only served a year. Morgan moved his family back to Missouri by July 1871 as their son Vade was born in MO in that month. Morgan's wife Martha died in about 1872. Morgan died in Lincoln County, MO on March 13,1885. Right now I'm trying to prove whether or not Morgan was the son of William Richard Pierce & his wife Matilda of Linn County, Missouri. If any of this sounds familiar, please let me know. Thanks so much! Patty
