Hello to you all. My name is Karen (Clark) Courtney, I live in Kennewick, WA. I've been reading the list for several months and decided it's time to start talking. My ggg grandparents John and Martha (Gilmore?) Pearce are elusive. By 1830 they were in Monroe County MS, by 1860 they are found in Independence County AR. John gives his birth place as TN, Martha was born in GA. I haven't been able to find them in TN. Their children: Allen b 1829, Nancy b 1831, Mary b 1834, Sarah b 1836, George b 1840, James Hollis b 1844 (my gg grandfather), John b 1847. Would love to hear from anyone out there with info on this line. As all of you know, I'm sure, there are about a gazzilion John Pearce/ Pierce's out there!
