Hello, my name is Joy Pierce Lozano, and I have just started genealogy about 1 yr ago. I am looking for info on my great grandfather, Thomas Henery Pierce, who was born in Cork County, Ireland (date?), and moved to Canada when he was 16 yrs old. He married Ellen Shanahan (Schanahan), who was also born in Cork County, Ireland (date??), and she also moved to Canada when she was 16 yrs old. They had 6 children.... Ellen (Nellie) Pierce, who married a man with the name of Collins James Pierce Margaret Pierce, who married a man with the name of McMillan Anne Pierce, who married a man with the name of Gormley Catherine Pierce, who married a man with the name of Sorenson Thomas Henery Pierce, born 2-18-1875 near Mitchell, Ontario in Canada. He married Marie Gourlay who was born in Mitchell, Ontario, Canada on 9-3-1880. They were married in Dublin, Ontario, Canada, on 9-3-1901. These are my grandparents, who later moved to Detroit, Michigan and died there. Thomas Henery Pierce died 12-26-1917 in Detroit, Michigan and is buried at the Holy Cross Cemetery there. Marie Gourlay Pierce died 11-10-1962 in Detroit, Michigan and is buried at the Holy Cross Cemeter there. Please, if anyone has any info on Thomas Henery Pierce, who was born in Ireland and then moved to Canada, please let me know.
