    3. Hello, The name Benoni or Benona is in my line as well. Hiram PIERCE b. 1806 NY d. 1885 IA is said to be the son of Benona PIERCE b. 10/21/1781 Rehoboth, MA d. 6/26/1855 Gilboa, Schoharie Co., NY and Elizabeth DAVIS. Hiram and his wife, Miriam STRONG, were in Schoharie Co., NY from about 1829-1852, they migrated through IL, to Delaware Co., IA. Hiram and Miriam stayed at Delaware Co., IA until their deaths in 1885 and 1882 respectively. Children of Benona PIERCE and Elizabeth DAVIS are said to be Hiram, Hannah b. 1808 m. Nelson K. MARTIN, Lemuel b. 1810 m. Lydia RULIFFSON, Lovel B. b. 1814, Carlton K. b. 1816, Harriet b. 1820 m. Jacob Richtmyer HUBBELL, Roxeline b. 1823 m. Mathew ST. JOHN, Electa b. 1829 m. Washington GRAHAM, and Electus b. 1829 m. Clarissa WOOD. Children of Hiram and Miriam are Philo Porter b. 1831 d. 1833, Philander Pitkin b. 1832 m. Justina CAHOON, Benona b. 1834 d. 1906 m. Thankful BIXBY, Philo Porter b. 1836 d. 1859 m. Sarah E. GIBBS, Calvin Wright b. 1838 m. Mary Martha FEAR, Martha Amelia b. 1840 m. Franklin Eugene WHEELER, Squire William b. 1842 d. 1911 m.
