Collene & Pierce-L Subscribers: Please read this message in its entirety. The message Collene received shown below, was NOT from "THIS" list, it was from the PEARSE list. That list manager is telling her not to post messages from HIS PEARSE list to THIS PIERCE list. I don't have a problem with "cross-postings", but I don't have the authority over other lists and in one respect we should remember that "The copyright of any message post belongs to the poster". This PIERCE list has always been for "ALL Pierce and Variants" - the Pearse list was only started a couple years ago when RW decided to open up all the variants of all surnames - I just want to reiterate - On the Pierce-L list EVERYONE SUBBED TO THIS LIST is welcome to post any item (assuming it is within the realms of the RWAUP) and the list guidelines on anything to do with Pierce, Pearse, Pearce, Pers, Percy, - any of the Pierce variants. Sometimes the reason you are looking for Pearse or Pearce is because a census taker or marriage clerk simply spelled it incorrectly, so with that being said. This list is for ANY/ALL Pierce and Variant research. I am very proud of how well you all get along together on this list and I very rarely "step-in" unless I have something to contribute that I think is worth hearing.
