Hello - I have a little information on my great-grandparents: Thomas Osro Pierce, b. 1842 near Winchester, Indiana. Married Sarah Welch, b. 1846, Indiana. They lived in Iowa for a time. One son, Richard Anthony Pierce, was born Aug. 27, 1878 in Marshalltown, Iowa. Later, they came to Barton Co., Missouri by covered wagon. Children: Osro, William Jacob, Thomas, Jane (Burson), Effie E. (Davis), and Richard Anthony. The parents and all the children except my grandmother, Effie E., went to California about 1900 -- she married and stayed in MO. Thomas Osro Pierce and Sarah Welch Pierce lived in Altadena, CA where he was a builder/contracter. Thomas died January 7, 1917 in the Huntington Hospital. Sarah died December 12, 1934, burial in Altadena Cemetery. If this fits into anyone's Pierce family history, I would be happy to know. I have no contact with the Pierce families in California.
