Mary, This is only a suggestion...I have no information that would say this is your Thomas, but I have done a considerable amount of research of early Pearces in Rhode Island in attempting to find parentage for my "brickwall ancestor", Richard Percy who was married in Hatfield, MA 1708. The only Thomas Pearce I show in that area during that time period was the son of Daniel Pearce, Jr. (born 1684 d. Kingston RI abt 1758)and Patience Mason Hill. Thomas was born May 31, 1723 which would make him a good age for this marriage in 1748 as well as living in the right area. Unfortunately, I have no further knowledge of Thomas...but perhaps someone on the list who has a direct connection to this family can help you. This Thomas is the great grandson of John Pearce (Mason) and I believe several people on the list trace back to him. Good luck Basil R. Percy
