This has become one of the regular and established festivals of the country; and being as it is, social as well as religious in its character, its influence upon the best interests of society is marked and most beneficent. The several religious congregations [sic] of our City will assemble for worship in their respective Churches:--family gatherings and social festivities will spread joy throughout the land:--and the hand of benevolence will be opened wider than ever, to extend the blessings and enjoyments of the day to those upon whom poverty and misfortune have placed their grievous burdens.
