I have been doing research on the Pierce line in Western PA. Jefferson, Clarion, Venango counties. Is there anyone on this list who has links to any Pierces' in that area? I really need any help I can get here, I have posted before, but became frustrated. The furthest back I have is a James Pierce, b. 1821, who married a Mary McNaughton, b. 22 Jun 1821, in Clarion county. d. 25 Jan 1901. Fisher twp. I believe that at least one point they resided in the Mill Creek area. and/or Fisher twp. area. They had these living in the home in 1880 William Alfred, b. 1855 d. 1937 Lizzie - daughter in law b. 1857 d. 1935 Ida McElroy - grand daughter (I believe) Thomas - Grandson other children of James and Mary were Henry Alexander Pierce b. 1860 Joseph A. Pierce b. 1865 Sara C. Pierce - ? William Alfred married Lizzie or (as I understand her name to be) Elizabeth (possibly also a Pearce) lived Sigel, Jefferson county PA They had: William Stanley Pierce, b. 26 Mar 1888, d. 1984, lived Sigel, Jefferson county PA Mame Pierce b. abt. 1887 Mary E. Pierce b. abt. 1886 Thomas Pierce b. abt. 1882 Elvie Pierce b. abt. 1881 I have nothing on who James Pierces' parents were, I have possibilities on brothers for him, such as : Edward b. 1820 and Joseph, b. 1824.
