Hello to All: Would anyone living close to Boston, Massachusetts be kind enough to do a look up on Thomas Pierce who married Amy Almy Chase who were married at Trinity church in Newport, Rhode Island on November 3, 1748, I have contacted the church and they referred me to the NEHGS at Boston, but since I live in Alabama that is a little difficult to do. I really am wanting to find the parents of each of these Gr Gr Gr Grandparents. I have been searching for years for some information and find that I am butting my head against a brick wall. I have reason to believe that Thomas was born on may 30, 1725. Their marriage date has been proven. Thomas and Amy had one child, Persis, in Rhode Island and possibly some of their other children, before emigrating to Sable River, Nova Scotia, Canada. I am in the 6th generation down from GR GR GR Grandparents, Thomas and Amy/ Almy Chase Pierce. I have my direct line from them proven. My father and mother emigrated to Massachusetts and settled there to raise their family. I realize that the Pierce name has had several variants and Thomas paarents may haave used a different spellong. I think that his background ancesters would have come from England, but have no proof of this to date, excpt in Canadian census it was written English where Irish or Scotch were also designated. If any one of you can offer any help or search this for me while going to search for any of your own missing links, I would deeply appreciate a helping hand. Best Regards to each of you and my thanks in advance. Sincerely, Mary I
