BlankI am trying to trace my family history on my father's side. He died in 1963 and we never knew any of his family. We have been searching for his birth registration ever since. His name was Michael Martin Pierce (or at least that is how we knew him) He was (according to his army records) born in Seacombe, Cheshire on 11th Decmber 1906. I have traced , through his army discharge address, a family which I believe he may be related too. Parents Anthony PIERCE, born Glaway 1865, occ Mariner (son of Richard PIERCE, occ. Tailor and Julia LALLY) and Theresa LYONS, born Liverpool about 1875 (daughter of Patrick Henry LYONS born about 18330/35 in the USA) Antony and Theresa had the following children: Hannah Theresa born West Derby, Liverpool, 1893 Richard Francis born West Derby, Liverpool, 1891 Lilian born Seacombe, Cheshire, 1898 Michael Joseph, born Seacombe Cheshire, 11 December 1903 (could this be my father - I was told by sosmeone who knew my father in Wales that he had another middle name of Joseph) There may be another son George Anthony born 1902 but this has not been confirmed yet. There are coincidences with this family and my father. Hannah Theresa had a daughter born 1925 called Patricia. My father had a niece called Patricia. Richard Francis emigrated to the USA in 1914. on the 1920 us census he was working at the Presbyterian Hospital in Manhatten. By 1930 he was married to Louisa with two children Richard and Eileen and was working at the Yale Club. His address at the time was Ludlow Avenue, Bronx Borough. My Father also had a brother called Richard who emigrated to the US (New York) and, I have been told, he had something to do with Yale. (could this have been the Yale Club.) I would be very pleased to hear from anyone with connections to the above people or any knowledge. Any help would be gratefully accepted.
