John perhaps a son of John Pearce who married 21 May 1765 in Marblehead, MA to Sarah Webber. 2) Mary Pearce, born 26 Nov 1769, Marblehead, MA, married 4 Dec 1788 in Marblehead, MA to Edmund Brooks (ca1764-1844). Mary a dau. of Nathaniel Pearce (ca1739-ca1786) and wife, Anna Lakin(1742-1816). 3) Exercise Pierce, died 1731, married 19 Oct 1668 in Ipswich, MA, Nehemiah Jewett (1643-1719/20). Exercise dau. of John Pearce, died 1661 at Dorchester, MA and wife, Rebecca Wheeler, died Dec 1674. Does anyone connect to the Pearce-Pierce families above? Thanks for your time, Bob Worthington
I found the marriage record for Lydia Francis (Pierce) Flanagan to Jesse Hamilton, her second husband, to be June 30, 1889, Newton County, Arkansas. You can view my previous message I posted below. Does anyone have any ties to Lydia (Pierce) Flanagan Hamilton? I do know that she ended up in Oklahoma, as she died there in 1917, but I do not know where in Oklahoma it was. She had one son, David Lincoln Hamilton. I have an unidentified photo of a woman, who I believe is Lydia, taken in Harrison, Arkansas, which is north of Newton County. She may have lived there too. Any information on Lydia would be appreciated. Thanks. Also I was told that she has a descendant named Jimmy Walker living near Tulsa, Oklahoma. His mother was Billye Wilcoxson Cogburn. She originally submitted a query to an Oklahoma book, and that is where I got the information that Lydia's second husband was Jesse Hamilton and that she had one son, David Lincoln Hamilton. Also it gave the date and plac! e of death as 1917 Oklahoma. Unfortunately, when I tried to contact Billye by looking up all of the Cogburns in that area, I found her husband, but she had already died several years before. The husband was remarried and his new wife had answered the phone and did not want to let me speak to him or give me any information. She only said that Billye had a son name Jimmy Walker, and his wife's name was Susan. So if any of this sounds familiar to anyone, I would really like to get hold of this Jimmy Walker. I have just uploaded 828 pages of Pierce information for the 1930 Census - These are all PIERCE surnames in the State of Georgia in 1930. These are in one rather large pdf file (you will need adobe acrobat reader to open it) - and it will be slow loading as it is 828 pages. If you know what county to search in you may use the bookmarks I set up - just click on the county and it will take you to that area -- otherwise you can open the binoculars and do a search from there by whatever means you prefer. This was a huge undertaking, so I hope someone out there finds something they really need. Thanks, Brenda URL: http://www.pierceproject.com/1930_Pierce.pdf Please note -- the indexes are now online at Ancestry - as well as the images.

<PRE>I haven't posted in quite a while. I am interested in any information on the families of Andrew Pierce b. 1821 in Kentucky (Bowling Green?) who married Nancy Fowler (b. 1825 in Kentucky or Delaware). I was told they had 11 children but I only find listed James Samuel (my ggrandfather), John, William and a daughter named Lucreshia ? on the 1870 Cass Co. Indiana Census. On the same census there was a Christopher ? also listed with them but last name is not Pierce and is not clearly written. I have been unable to find where they died or are buried, but I am returning to Indiana this spring in hopes of finding more. Any information would be most helpful and appreciated.
My oldest Pierce is Erastus Thomas Pierce, b. April 22, 1881 in Ashboro, Randolph Co., NC. I found him living in Almyra, Arkansas Co., AR in 1900. He was living with his Uncle William Henry Harrison and his Aunt Euphia Surratt Harrison. The Harrison's lived in Davidson Co., NC and then Randolph Co., NC before moving to AR around 1895. I have looked at all the Pierce's living around them in NC. Can't make the connection. I have been working on this family since 1992. I have a lot of info on the Harrison's and Surratt's. Erastus "Rassie" married Eursula Lowe in 1904 here in AR. They had 11 children. I have all their info. Really would appreciate some help. Martha Pierce, Stuttgart, AR.
My oldest Pierce/Pearce I have on record is my g-g-grandfather William Pearce. He was born 1823 in or around the Tupelo, Mississippi area. He and his wife Mary had three children also born in are around the Tupelo, Mississippi area. James Joseph born 1843, Amanda born 1844, & Jacob born 1848. I have information on James because he was my g-grandfather but I have no other information on his brother & sister or his parents. I am still trying to confirm that his mother's last name was Fuquay and his grandfather's name was Hollett Pearce. If anyone knows of this family I hope to hear from you. Thanks for your help. Richard L Pierce
There was a message from someone who was looking for a John Pierce who was born in 1671 and married Mary Parker. I had just found the information when the computer went dead. If the person who was looking for this will check the Pierce Geneology by Frederic Beech Pierce they will find it on page 33. John's father was also a John, his grandfather was Thomas as was his great grandfather, the emigrant ancestor of this branch of the Pierce family. He came to this country in 1633-4.
Norma, would you e-mail me again about the George and Ann Peirce. Your letter was mistakenly deleted before I got your address. Pete
