Hi members of my favorite genealogy email lists Pierce Hibbs Abercrombie some friends and relatives may be receiving this email By BCC Blind Carbon Copy and their names will not appear in the address headers Hello Fellow Genealogy Friends and Relatives I am moving out of dallas after 20 years. Absolutely tired of the big city. will be spending 2-3 months in the panhandle of tx working (I am self employed) and during that time will be mostly staying with my 90 year old grandmother Julia Hibbs McManus. She will be helping me go through my deceased mothers 1500(or more) photographs which I have scanned into the computer.Although she is having trouble getting around as much as she would like her mind is very alert, especially when looking at the photos here memory is very good. I will be taping all of these sessions on a recording machine to do a future "Frontier TX Panhandle Girl" rememberances type book for her!! I will be spending most of the winter (After Nov 31 or DEC 31 ) in Alexandria LA, Baton Rouge LA, New Orleans LA, and Biloxi MS. I am currently looking for a laptop but am taking both my computers with me one for Grandma's house and the other for my dad's house. He is 78. I will still keep my swbell internet account for the time being but will not be as active as I have been the last 3 years. I have been working very hard on the Genealogy photo galleries. My mom was also a photography nut besides being on the historical comission of Hansford County Tx for 20 year. She was the local history nut and genealogy nut in her family. Our family misses her a lot I have actually worked very hard these past five years on the Pierce genealogy, and the last six months on this website to honor her memory. She had desired that- I do and continue her work- all her life. After the visit with my 90 year old grandmother (my mother's mother) I will be almost done..at least I will be done when I get her book finished. I am very very proud of the amount of computer knowledge I have learned to enable me to actually produce the pages listed below. My next task is getting each photo identified correcly. I have already transferrred my webs and all the photo galleries (and several other photo galleries not on the web--not enough space) to a cdrom disk and they work great.....so beautifuly. the photos pop up in seconds.!!! If you look at the first three images on the gengallery photo page below and click on them each photo comes up in its own web (.html) page with a description. Soon all photos will be so identified!!! It will be a lot of work!! http://members.xoom.com/ldpierce/gengallery.html http://members.xoom.com/ldpierce/hibbsphoto.html Hibbs Faus Luke Photo Gallery http://members.xoom.com/ceeds/Thumbs1.html My Aunt Peggy Ferguson Family Gallery http://members.xoom.com/ldpierce/Photounknown.html Unknown Persons Gallery also of special interest is the updated info on my search to connect my family (Reuben Pierce descendants ) to that of Hugh Pierce 1749 VA this info is located on the Joel J Pierce mystery http://members.xoom.com/ldpierce/Joeljpierce.html page and contains a lot of info sent to my by Wanda Ruby [email protected] of Mississippi. have a look at the photos send me your feed back and will let you all know if I will be changing ISP and email address soon. Web Page AUTHOR DESIGNER For hire-- I CAN DO PAGES LIKE THIS AND PHOTO GALLERIES LIKE MINE FOR YOUR FAMILY or families of your friends or boss. Although I do not make my living currently by writing web pages or doing genealogy---- I am looking for 2 or 3 rich clients to do web pages and photo galleries like the ones I have done for myself and my family.. I am dreaming I guess (as always) since to do what I have done for my families is the above webs would be very very expensive. oh well....you wont be getting much more of the SSP (Shameless Self Promotion) from me for a while. I wish you all the best of luck and health in the new Millenium and success in all your genealogy searches -- LD Pierce PO 35394 Dallas Tx 75235 800-398-5127 Page me on ICQ: 35821033 Send me an email express page: [email protected] if I am onine this give me an immediate message popup! be sure and put your email address in the message body so I can write you back http://members.xoom.com/ldpierce/index.html Pierce Genealogy Pages & Pierce Electronic Book http://members.xoom.com/ldpierce/piercesitemap.html this is the site map to the web pages

Hello, This information just caught my eye on one of the other ROOTSWEB lists and from the date and location I thought it might have some PIERCE information related especially to Hugh PIERCE and William PIERCE. The William PIERCE that I found would not be the earliest William PIERCE of note but could be a descendant and time and location would make him an excellent candidate, at first glance, for father of Hugh PIERCE. Please let me know what you think and if you find anything else of substance on the issue. I haven't been through all of the pages below but I have just found mention of a William PIERCE on pg 12 - 19 on the last link listed below which is from 1745 I believe Is it possible that this could be the father of Hugh PIERCE? (Some of you that I am sending this to are working on Hugh PIERCE....some aren't.) This is, apparently, a very lengthy book with offerings on many surnames and issue from Virginia in the 1700's....and that, perhaps, you are all already familiar with. Best to all, Bellinda Myrick Barnett (still looking for parents of William/Willie MYRICK, born late 1700's and married to Elizabeth PIERCE, born: late 1700's in SC, sons Aquilla/James?, Henry, Jeremiah, and William H. For those of you writing to tell me that some links to sites do not work, I am aware of those. Holli has now had some family set backs, and several others have had to drop out. I am currently working about 80 hours a week on my "paying" job, and I am posting as I can to the pages, (there is not much information coming in). Sue has and continues to do a terrific job with her project pages. Please bear with us until we can catch a breather. This year has been extremely busy for Chuck and myself, I am having to travel (which I did not do before with my job), and we are awaiting our first grandchild, along with several other serious illnesses in our families we have not been able to devote as much time as we would like, however this is A WORK IN PROGRESS, AND IF ANYONE HAS SPARE TIME. LET US KNOW. Hope things are going well with all of you, I know when WINTER gets here we will all be at the computer more and things will slow down work wise for most of us and GENEALOGY will get us through the winter blues. Thanks to all of you who contribute and have contributed, it is appreciated. Brenda Pierce
I am trying to find the origins of George PIERCE born 1824 in Ohio and died in 1911 in Monroe co Iowa. He married Marietta MAJOR in then Mercer co OH (Now Auglaize co OH) in 1848 and went with her family to Monroe co IA in 1849. He was an early settler of both Monroe co and Wapello counties. He had a brother Zachariah PIERCE also born in Ohio. He married Sarah Jane KINDER in 1850 in Wapello co IA. I believe they are related to Mary Ann PIERCE who married David HINKLE in 1836 in Mercer co Ohio. George and Marietta's children lived in Iowa and Nebraska. If you would like to exchange information, please contact me at my email address below. Thanks Pam Shelton-Anderson [email protected]

Hello, Just want to invite you to visit the Pierce Project for New England and New York and remind those you may have visited before to stop by again. Have added a lot of data recently. The Pierce and variants of, are listed alphabetical by first name and very easy to search but beware there is a lot of listings. Have a lot of Massachusetts Vital Records already on. Also have other misc. info. Always welcome submissions but have a few requirements. Hope you find your ancestor. Does anyone out there have any information on a Franklin Weldon Pierce? I have him as the son of Robert N. Pierce and Lucy Hannah Lovering. I found on the IGI where a Stephen F. Piper had submitted a lot of information - are you online? I don't see Franklin Weldon as a child of this union but I did find a Robert Welden. Does anyone have anything on this line? This is in Melrose, Massachusetts and according to my records, they were married on Oct. 4, 1871. Thanks for any help. Helen STRONG Pond IBSSG Woodland, GA

Hi: I am looking for the parents and ancestry of Colonel William Pierce. The information I have is that he was born July 23, 1785. According to a document written by my grandfather, he was born in Burlington Vermont. The LDS familysearch site has him born either in Truxton, New York, or in Rome, New York. Colonel Pierce was married to Olive Bernice Shedd, of Rome New York. They lived in Truxton New York, where their children, Chandler, William, Betsey, Ezekial, Elizabeth, Olive and Mary were born. The LDS William Pierce that listed any children was the one born in Rome New York. Both were listed as married to Olive Shedd. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Dana Kerr
